TWO-APRON COSTUME FROM THE VILLAGE OF VABEL, NIKOPOL REGION

The costume is from the collection of Tanya Kirovska - Gramatikova, a true connoisseur and researcher of the next costumes from Northern Bulgaria, gathered in an invaluable collection of unique costumes from different regions!

👉You can view the calendar here.

👉 The costume was worn by the gentle girl Victoria Grigorova from Koynare

👉 The women's folk costume from the village of Vabel consists of a “takmenik” (back apron), shirt, apron, stockings and belt. Particularly characteristic is the veiling, called “tach”. It is a woolen cap made of white fabric with a chin chin on which small coins are sewn. A semicircular wooden pad is attached to the hat. The veil is folded into a triangle and is decorated with embroidery on sewn strips of canvas on its two opposite points, which cross at the nape and tie in front over the forehead.
