PINAFORE COSTUME FROM THE VILLAGE OF SHTARKOVO, PAZARDZHIK REGION

„ I was born in the Panagyurishte region, the village of Buta. I grew up here, here are my parents, my relatives, my roots. Like any young person, I love good music, I love Bulgarian folk music and song. I like to dream.

My great-grandmother Stoyanka Sivodosheva is one of the founders of the Folklore Ensemble "Iglika", which will celebrate its 70th anniversary next year. I was told that she sang very well and had an incredibly strong voice. I inherited this gift from her. Yes, I've been singing for as long as I can remember. I love the Bulgarian folk song, I love our folk songs from Buta. I have numerous awards from festivals and fairs.

I love the historical sights of Panagyurishte, the surroundings of my native village Buta. In the village of Buta the mummer's holiday "Rogacha" is held every year, and for ten years we have "Feast of the colorful salt (sharena sol)".

The feeling of wearing a costume for more than 100 years is magical and unique. I like to dress in a costume. I love to perform the Batovo and Bulgarian folk songs adorned with the Batovo folk costume, with the colorful bouquet of flowers on the head and a smile on the face.

Bulgaria for me is beauty and love! "
